We worked with visual artist, Enamul Hoque on Portrait of Baul at The Barbican. His piece entitled “Portrait of Baul” as part of the Interfaces Exhibition took place at the Barbican in London, and our work received pride of place on one of the enormous pillars.
The work, a triptych of video of the travelling Baul musicians of Bangal gave us the opportunity to use our new home grown “EPSeed” Media server system on it’s first project – which you can read about here.
The results, combining large-scale site specific video projection from three wirelessly synced 21K projectors in portrait and 3 channel audio were staggering. The artwork transformed the column in the foyer into a glowing pilar of light and sound: “the ‘Baul’ emerged from the concrete surface to sing, before dissolving once again into the architecture of the Barbican”.
We look forward to working with the team in the future.
