To promote the video game Mortal Kombat 11, Event Projection was approached to projection map the exterior façade of London’s iconic music venue, Koko in Camden.
Our client, responsible for the digital promotion campaign, were keen to create a show-stopper as part of the London launch event at Koko. Although new to projection mapping, after discussions with our technical and 3D content team they took up the challenge of creating the content and left the production and mapping in our hands.
Time was very short to secure permissions but within a week this was accepted and the two night show had the go-ahead. Two Panasonic RZ-31K projectors were used, with our Avolites R8 media server rack providing mapping, and content playback.
The event was well received by both the video gaming community and client Warner Bros.
